In November 2000, Pastor Bill Stevenson and his wife Vicki answered a Pastoral call from Virgin Valley Baptist Church. At that time the church reorganized as First Baptist Church of Mesquite (FBC).
On Easter Sunday, 2001 FBC moved from the mortuary to 114 Sandhill Boulevard and held the grand opening. Under God’s direction and Pastor Bill’s leadership, the church became a very active, growing church which resulted in three worship services on Sunday and many lay ministries.
In a few years, FBC outgrew the Sandhill location. The congregation again began to pray for God’s direction and in June of 2005 moved into the present location at 700 Hardy Way. In the last year many changes have occurred, including the addition of an Executive Pastor, Bill Montgomery, an Associate Pastor of Education, JP Solstad and Deacon Don Johnson.
