“CHRISTMAS IS…”

John 3:16-18

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

 

I.  A TIME OF ________________________ Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, 1 Chronicles 16:12

 

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 2 Timothy 2:8

 

II.  A TIME OF ____________________________ And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. 1 John 4:21

 

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

 

III.  A TIME OF ____________________________A man finds joy in giving an apt reply-- and how good is a timely word! Proverbs 15:23

 

God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. Acts 15:8

 

IV.  A TIME OF _____________________________ Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

 

The other guests began to say among themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?" Luke 7:4

 

V.  A TIME OF ______________________________ For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, Colossians: 1:13

 

Sing to the LORD! Give praise to the LORD! He rescues the life of the needy from the hands of the wicked. Jeremiah 20:13

 

VI.  A TIME OF ______________________________ And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

 

Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-- 1 Corinthians 15:51

 

VII.  A TIME OF ______________________________ Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Psalms 2:11

 

I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. Psalms 31:7

 

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

 

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4
