ISAIAH 53:7b-

“He was led like a lamb to the slaughter…”




- All four Gospel writers recognize the analogy:

              Matthew 27:31b –and led Him away to crucify Him

              Mark 15:20b – They led Him out to crucify Him

              Luke 23:26a – As they led Him away…

              John 19:16b – Then they took Jesus away


B.     THE STORY OF THE BIBLE IS THE STORY OF THE __________________:

  1. Genesis 3:21 GOD PROVIDED AN ___________ SKIN TO COVER ADAM AND EVE.

“The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.”


  1. Genesis 22:13 GOD PROVIDED A ___________ IN PLACE OF ISAAC.  

“Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.”


  1. Exodus 12:21-22 – THE ISRAELITES WERE SPARED JUDGMENT BY SACRIFICING A _______________.

“Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to

them, "Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning.”

“The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.”
