II. GOD’S WORD IS _________________________.

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”    1 Corinthians 1:18 (NIV)

III. GOD’S WORD IS __________________________

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.

Useful like a ______________.

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)

“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:17 (NIV)

Useful like a ___________.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

Psalm 119:105

“Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.” 2 Peter 1:19 (NLT)

IV. GODS WORD WILL _________________YOUR LIFE.

“If you obey all the decrees and commands… you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time.” Deuteronomy 4:40 (NLT)

“Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.” Proverbs 4:10 (NIV)

V. GOD’S WORD WILL _________________ YOU PEACE.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV)

“Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.” Psalm 119:165 (NIV)

VI. GOD’S WORD WILL _________________ YOUR FUTURE.

“Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.” 1 Kings 2:3 (NLT)

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:7-8 (NIV)
