Why Did Jesus Die For My Sins? 04/03/26

This message from Luke 23:32–43 reminds us that the cross reveals both the seriousness of our sin and the greatness of Jesus’ love. Sin is not small because it is ultimately committed against a holy God, and our debt before Him is far greater than we can ever repay. Jesus did not die because God was overreacting, because the cross was merely symbolic, or because there were many possible ways to save us. Jesus died because our sin was deeper than we realized, our debt was more than we could pay, and only He could do what we could never do for ourselves. Through His death on the cross, Jesus provided the way for sinners to be forgiven, restored, and welcomed into eternity with God.
