Could God Really Use Someone Like Me? 03/08/26

This opening message in The Gospel of Mark series introduces Mark as an unlikely but powerful example of God’s restoring grace. Though Mark was not one of the twelve disciples, failed on a missionary journey, and may have carried deep personal regret, God did not discard him—He restored him and used him to write the first Gospel account of Jesus Christ. Mark’s story reminds us that the Gospel is not about perfect people serving from flawless pasts, but about an extraordinary Savior who calls, restores, and uses ordinary, imperfect people for His purpose. As this series begins, we are invited to ask two life-shaping questions: Who is Jesus really, and what does it mean to follow Him? The message offers hope to anyone who has failed, quit, or felt disqualified, reminding us that in the hands of Jesus, failure is not final, fear is not fatal, and grace rewrites stories.
