Why Jesus Changes Everything 05/03/26

In Mark 2:18–22, Jesus responds to a question about fasting by revealing something much bigger: He did not come simply to improve religion, but to bring a completely new life with God. While religion often focuses on rules, performance, comparison, and trying harder, Jesus presents Himself as the Bridegroom who invites us into joyful relationship, closeness, and surrender. Through the images of new cloth and new wineskins, Jesus teaches that He cannot simply be added onto an old way of living; He came to transform us from the inside out. This message challenges us to ask whether we are merely managing religious habits or truly walking with Jesus, because Jesus is not an add-on—He changes everything.
