Will I Follow Jesus Right Away? 03/22/26

This message from Mark 1:12–20 shows that following Jesus requires an immediate and surrendered response because He is the victorious Savior, the promised King, and the One who calls ordinary people into extraordinary purpose. After His baptism, Jesus enters the wilderness and faces the battle we could never win alone, proving that He understands temptation and stands victorious over the enemy. He then announces the good news that the kingdom of God has come near, calling people to repent and believe. As Jesus calls Simon, Andrew, James, and John, we see that He does not wait for impressive or perfect people; He calls ordinary people in the middle of everyday life and reshapes them for His mission. The central challenge of the passage is personal and urgent: when Jesus calls, will we delay, or will we follow Him right away?
